Commitment and Standards
Mava Tax is committed to providing a website and client portal that are usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We seek to identify, prevent, and remove barriers while delivering secure tax and accounting services.
Our ongoing objective is to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where applicable. We also consider the website requirements established under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, including WCAG 2.0 Level AA requirements that may apply.
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time certification. This statement does not claim that every page or third-party integration is free from all accessibility barriers.
Accessibility Features
Accessibility features and practices used across the website include:
- semantic page structure with logical heading levels and landmark regions;
- keyboard-accessible navigation, controls, forms, and visible focus indicators;
- responsive layouts that support desktop, tablet, mobile, and text enlargement;
- colour palettes designed for readable text and sufficient interface contrast;
- descriptive labels, instructions, validation feedback, and accessible control names;
- text alternatives for meaningful imagery and icons where appropriate;
- reduced-motion support for users who request less animation;
- consistent navigation, buttons, cards, and form patterns; and
- multiple client portal themes, including high-contrast light and dark options.
For the best experience, use a current version of a major browser together with up-to-date assistive technology.
Ongoing Accessibility Efforts
We continue to improve accessibility by reviewing shared components, testing keyboard workflows, monitoring colour contrast and responsive behaviour, improving labels and error messages, and considering accessibility when introducing new features or content.
We aim to assess significant changes using a combination of code review, automated checks, manual keyboard testing, zoom and reflow testing, and assistive-technology feedback where practical. Third-party services may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control; when issues arise, we will work with providers or seek reasonable alternatives.
Report an Accessibility Issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us. Include the page or feature involved, a description of the issue, the browser or assistive technology used if you are comfortable sharing it, and your preferred way for us to respond.
We will acknowledge accessibility feedback and work to provide a reasonable response or alternative format as promptly as practicable. Please do not include passwords, authentication codes, tax identifiers, or sensitive financial documents in an ordinary email.
